My office is 4 kilometers from my home. I go to office everyday of week. So this means I go to office and then to home and everyday I cover almost 8 kilometer everyday. I go to office by hero Lectro C5i through this electric powered or battery powered electric bicycle. Then after reaching home I immediately recharge cycle as connect it with wall socket and put the electricity flow switched on. Everyday it takes almost 2 hours for complete recharge of batteries. So that I could without any difficulties unequivocally reach office and return back home without any difficulties.
I have been using Hero Lectro C5i for last two and half years and so far I have seen that charging time after reaching home from office of about 8 kilometers to and fro but the charging time remains same through out these two and half years. I have shared my 7 days experience, then one year experience and then two years of experience of using Hero lectro C5i in the previous articles in this blog. In this article I will be in detail indepth writing about two and half years of Hero Lectro C5i electronic vehicle.
The spokes of thus electronic bicycle are of aluminum but after almost two and half years I have found it is taking junks may be due to my location nearer to sea beach. Perhaps due to extreme saline climate it is taking its toll at last in the last two and half years. The garage of my office is at the front side of office and it is being guarded by security, still, from 10 am to 7 pm inside office and this means that for utmost 9 hours it had to stay with saline climate and so after almost two and half years of use at last the aluminum spokes is taking its toll and now some of it are becoming junk and it needs to be taken care of of needs to be changed or replaced.
I have experienced that there is no need to add oils to nuts and bolts of Hero Lectro C5i. The front wheel has disc break which is the tightest brake and it works sudden and sudden break can be applied here and the rear wheel has normal curve break, and if you use oil in these locations and especially at nuts and bolts of disc brakes then for sure it would weaken disc brakes and it would not be applied suddenly and the brake will lose and even if all is good still disc break will not work as intended. So putting oils in nut bolts of this electric bicycle is heavily prohibited as it does not smooth it but else it loosens the grips and brake will not work as intended. I have done this and both front disc break and the back curve break loosens and I have to go to the store where I purchase bicycle to make it right and the mechanic told me that not to use oil inside break and other parts of Hero Lector C5i.
Next, I have found the need for horn as in and around busy roads I have found managing driving there needs a good horn but the important is that it is not there with Hero Lectro company so I have to find it from Amazon or flip kart from third party sources. Those selling horn at the rate of nearly Rs 500 but its value for money is being still kept wanting and that makes the entire probability of using horn a distant dream. Next problem is its seat, which is permanently provides awkward position and with due course of time it tilts on one side and ultimately does provide awkward seating but still provide one of most outstanding difficult situation as it continues to provide difficult seating but one part of it is that seat is stronger but its construction is not smoother and it continues to provide problematic situations.
With due course of time the back break which is curved break not the disc break, which provides really slow break to rear wheel and the main brake to stop the electronic vehicle is the front brake and that provides some times difficulties as when in times of need to apply the sudden brake you have to push the front brake then there are chances that you might fall as front brake can provide difficulties as it can put difficulties in balancing of electronic bicycle.
Even after repairing of rear brake still there difficulties of sudden grip of it as it becomes slower and slower in putting the bicycle to sudden stop but still you can use it to reduce speed of bicycle during rush hour but you cannot use it for sudden brake implementation while you are running your bicycle in its higher speed. Even after continuous repair of rear brakes, still there has been problem in implicating sudden brake in need so the front brake needs to be employed when you need for the possible sudden stop. Now, we can talk about battery use. The power of battery is diminishing slowly but not rapidly. Now, while driving within few moments when I drive the vehicle in total acceleration I found that within few meters the battery becomes from full four red signs to become three signs and after one or two kilometers the red light becomes two in number and when driving in marine drive road conditions in the morning time, especially in summer time the wind blows in the opposite directions and thus electronic bicycle needs higher force to move and that makes batteries drying faster but not in its entirety.
One intriguing problem I have found with Bluetooth connectivity of electronic vehicle with that of Samsung mobile especially Samsung A12 which has android 13 installed. When I make Bluetooth connection with Samsung phone by installing Hero Lectro app and in this way, Hero Lectro C5i connected with phone and in this way, speed of bicycle can be known in real time. There is one function with android 13 Samsung A12, a feature called as separate app sound which can provide Bluetooth sounds through two devices so at the same time you can connect to two Bluetooth devices such as at one time you can connect to electronic bicycle as well as you can connect to external Bluetooth stereos same time. Why I am talking about this is that, when while using separate application sound electronic vehicle sometimes suddenly stops if you use separate app sound and connect both Hero Lectro C5i and Bluetooth speaker and driving vehicle both at the same time. It stops vehicle while driving so it is important not to enable separate app sound in android phone otherwise its settings can interfere with separate app settings and it can stops electronic bicycle from running so when you connect Hero Lectro C5i with yours phone.
So far this bug has not been corrected by Samsung Phone so it is better to not to switch on separate app sound while Bluetooth connectivity on and for this if you want to connect Hero Lectro C5i with Bluetooth of yours Samsung Phone, then it is a good idea not to enable separate app sound still Samsung fixes this issue.
