I have been using HERO LECTRO C5i for over one year now and this article is from real time riding experience I have wirh this electronic bicycle. On 24th August 2022, HERO LECTRO C5i become one year old and I have many positive experiences as well as some negative experience and this article will provide detail write up of it. Let us discuss it further.
My positive experiences with HERO LECTRO C5i :
After one year long prolonged use and driving 10 kilometers consistently everyday with no assist mode and running electronic bicycle in entirely battery mode not on pedal assist mode, this means utilising the power of battery in riding bicycle for 10 kilometers for almost one year but to my utter surprise charging time of HERO LECTRO C5i remains constant even after one year of use. Even many a times I found it charging times lesser and this really surprise me.
I come back to home every night at 7 pm and some times it rained heavily and even this year rain is there in the month of October this time and entire road is full of rains and I drive across it and only precaution I have taken one precaution by covering strong cloth on the meter board at the left side of handle and then I ride through entire distance which is almost kilometres from home and there is nothing injurious to my HERO LECTRO C5i as I have seen entire bicycle is water proof even if forceful rain condition still I see there is nice cover on engine and all the other essential pars.
Even the accelerator on the right hand side while driving kept open because it needs to be increased or decreased while driving and rain is there but it works nicely without any difficulties. This is great and the main engine located at the rear wheel is covered so that one drop of water will not enter into engine in any manner. This means it is entirely water proof apart from the dashboard situated at the left hand side.
My negative experiences with HERO LECTRO C5i :
Since first use I have difficulties in its seat which tend to move towards front side when there is downward slopes and when there is upward slope it tend to move backward and that makes driving completely not consistent with the balance of vehicle. Many a times while driving with speed of about 20 kilometres and above and when there is a speed breaker the seat tend to to lean towards downwards and that makes balancing difficult certain times.
Second difficulty is front disc break. The new marine drive road during evening and especially during weekend times the entire road is full of people so have to use breaks repeatedly while moving inside that roads and after some time front break keep losing its grips and due to disc break system manually repair of it is not possible and for this have to take leave and move the bicycle to garage. When the front disc break becomes lose then control on the bicycle becomes weaker.
This has been happening in every two months and that makes driving electronic bicycle driving difficult. Due to nature of disc break it is difficult to repair all by ourselves. I would appreciate to improve disc break to more improvements so that it stays sronger and reliable for more days so that management of speed in relation with disc break and with HERO LECTRO C5i front disc break should be stronger and more reliable.
One more problem I find with rear wheel is that when I drive HERO LECTRO C5i in rain water or water on the road, then it tend to come direct upto my back side and the water reach to my back side as well as to my helmet and for this I tend to make back pack completely wet. In this way during rain times the rear wheel tend to throw water upto me and it jumps towards me and my shirt and its back side becomes completely dirty. This means back side rear wheel mud guard needs to be completely revamped so that water does notspring forward towards the person driving electronic bike.
