Battle of the Titans: Samsung Apps or Google Apps – Which Reigns Supreme?

I fond of Samsung phones since the times of Galaxy Grand Duos where I began using Android kitkat and since those times I have found that the Samsung One UI home since those times the most attractive user interface I have ever found. Now using Samsung smart phone with android 13 and its One UI home screen is best as ever and still providing more and more attractive option to dwell it out and it provides more and more mesmerising options to dig these informations from one side to the other. Samsung One UI cannot be downloaded for non-Samsung devices. It is not available as standalone app in Google Play Store. So only Samsung phone has built in with it.

Samsung mobile phones have their own set of applications. Its phone, contact, message, audio, video, note, Samsung TV plus and many other apps from Samsung which are pre-installed on Samsung android phones. You can record calls inside yours Samsung phone app, which can record calls automatically. Samsung has its own spam blocker application built in inside of its phone app known as Hiya to protect you from unwanted spam calls. So, you do not need to install popular third party apps such as Truecaller. As we have seen truecaller is resources unfriendly and it does make yours RAM to perform slower but with Samsung built in phone application you can detect some of unknown caller and it works nicely with its built in Hiya caller identifier.

Samsung Phone app vs Google’s Phone app

When we compare Samsung phone app with that of Google’s native phone app available inside Google Play Store. Google phone has its own spam blocker and spam detector and it works nicely and some times it works better than Samsung phone app but some times Samsung Phone app works better that its Google’s competitor. But Samsung application just ahead of it is that it has its own call recording function which is not there inside Google Phone apps. This means that when considering using either Samsung phone or Google phone app on yours Samsung phone then Samsung Phone appis the best out there. The look and feel of Google Phone app is almost similar to that of chrome view and this sometimes creates confusion within us as it can provides more and more difficult to understand whether its user interface could have been improved to provide one of smarter android look just like Samsung phone app. So, in the comparison between Samsung and Google phone app, the final winner is Samsung Phone app.

Samsung File Manager vs Google Files application

Samsung File manager is built in application comes pre-installed with Samsung phones. It works seamlessly and it also shows that it can show files from cloud enabled services such as Google Drive and Microsoft One drive. These cloud enabled-file service can be shown inside file manager app. It has some rare features such as it divided the audio, video, apk files in different categories. Here you can make any folder as favourite,of yours photo, video documents by enabling the star options. From Samsung File manager you can directly create image, photo or document short cuts on the home screen. So short cuts can be created easily. When you share any images or multimedia to others then you can remove location data from these multimedia data so that yours privacy can be well protected while sharing images or videos to others.

Samsung File manager has one separate folder for zip and rar archive file segment. From there you can directly unzip files directly from there. Perhaps, inclusion of dropbox and box cloud storages can be included in file manager app of Samsung Files manager app. You can add network storages such as if you have website or hosting account you can access those through FTP and SFTP servers and those files can be accessed though files manager app of Samsung Files app. It has analyse function and you can have detailed look on large files, duplicate files and from there you can remove not so important files and gain back lost spaces on yours phone device. If you go for list view so that you can see and find long file names. It also provides convenience of showing files from external storage devices from Samsung File manager.

Now we can look into Google Files application. Try to see whether it is better or inferior than Samsung Apps. You can free up spaces from yours android device, SD card and pen drive inserted inside smart phone so that you can regain more and more storages spaces. Google Files has built in file transfer feature which work nicely while sharing files between two android phones with Google Files installed. This feature makes Google Files higher than that of Samsung Files. Samsung Files do not have such file sharing function. Samsung has its own Samsung smart switch app which can do the same work and even with older windows computer beginning from smart switch. This feature is not available inside Samsung Files app.

You can secure important files with yours unique password different from that of phone’s existing lock feature. With Google Files you can listen and can watch videos directly from Files app and this is there with Samsung File manager application too. You can directly save files to Google Drive or to SD card , in order to create more spaces inside system space of android device. From Samsung Files you can back up files to Google Drive or Samsung cloud drive and Microsoft One Drive after you connect these cloud services to Samsung Files application. With Google File app working files with Google Drive is seamlessly integrated. So, when backing up to Google Drive then it is better than Samsung File Manager app. Samsung does provide 2 GB storages, and its inclusion with Samsung Cloud storage is seamlessly integrated and this means that with the similar parents application, integration is seamless.

Google Files application provides smart recommendations to improve performance of yours device, and how to work seamlessly with optimise storages recommendations and it also checks about whether yours Google my Protect is activated or not so that yours phone’s security can be checked and this function is not there with Samsung File manager apps. In terms of system protect feature it is not available with Samsung File Manager. When we see all of these features and compare all of these features of Samsung File Manager apps and Google Files app, I find Google Files App is better than Samsung File Manager App.
