Samsung Galaxy devices have many original equipment manufacturer apps which provide several unique experiences exclusive for Samsung users. In this age fast internet and smart phone age we can effortlessly track live location of family member by installing Samsung Find from either Google Play Store or Samsung App store. In another way from computer web browser you can locate yours lost Samsung phone by logging into Samsung account.
First you have to install Samsung Find app on your device as well as on yours family smartphones. Login with Samsung Find app with Samsung Account. Samsung Find has website you can browse location of yours device through computer. In the settings of Samsung App, you have to allow your device to be shared to Samsung Find website. You have option to encrypt offline location if you have privacy issues. If you enable this then location information sent to Samsung servers can be encrypted to and fro from it. It is an optional option, you can enable or disable it as per user’s wishes.
Then you will have to choose navigation app, most of times it can be Google Maps, In the setting from button of Samsung Find touch people to add other family members and to see their live location within Samsung Find app. Yours family members should have Samsung Galaxy devices and Samsung Find installed on it. From below settings of Samsung Find touch people and then click on the plus icon and then from the list of phone numbers choose the number associated with family members and they should have Samsung Galaxy devices, active internet connections and Samsung Find app installed. Then choose the phone number of yours family members and then invite family members to allow location access to Samsung Find.
Then, yours family members should also allow you share location all the time. In this way you can see location of yours family members in the people segment of Samsung Find app. There is another option in settings which is items setting which is related with Samsung smart things app, you can find yours devices such as Samsung TVs, Samsung washing machines and other hardware devices right from yours phone and in this way you can see yours devices from yours screen of phone. In order to add Samsung items which can work like Apple tags and you can find these devices right from yours phone.
You can use Google Map’s location sharing information in order to find location of yours family members easily. But there is a cache which is that all devices need to be stay online, With Samsung Find and from its settings if you enable offline finding then you can find location of yours family members even if they are offline. It is a very important property and sometimes yours family members when they are outside and by mistake switch of data connection on their phone or in a location where there is absolutely no data connectivity then location sharing of Google Maps failed to work but if offline finding is enabled on Samsung Find app then you can see the live location of family members in Samsung App even if you are or yours family mebers is offline.
Due to offline finding feature and the app is from Samsung then its reliability increases more and this feature is only available with this app even not in Google Maps speaks a lot about this. Even when your phone is lost or stolen Samsung app can detect phones’ location when its last turned off. You can even remotely lock Samsung Pay and other important Samsung apps. You can erase yours lost phone’s data remotely so that the thief cannot look for yours important data stored on yours device.
