How To Stay Safe Walking On The Sidewalk Path Or Road

This article is based on how the side steps of roads or sidewalk or pathways at different areas around India. Sidewalks or pathways are important as this provides convenient way for visitors to walk by the side of road even in huge traffic situations. This stops accidents as well as provides convenience for visitors to walk into a proper way.

Now, let us talk first about Puri, the religious capital of Odisha  has now many walk able ways in and around VIP roads which connects the main route from Bhubaneswar to marine drive road at Puri. There are many sideways and those places were occupied by many street hawkers but now those places are being cleared and many people are happily able to walk through this and avoid crowd traffics.

Sadly though in and around areas of footpath roads those are nearer to marine drive has been preoccupied with small food vendors such as the local famous dahi bara and other related foods items and those are covering most of space and walking in and around those footpaths became extremely difficult. As they would stand up there manual  bicycle and the passerby has to go down from footpaths to the road and this makes them accident prone as the marine drive is only one way and this makes vehicles going in strict space of road.

For this it is important to remove such encroached street vendors from footpaths so that the people can walk with ease and vehicles can run with ease. On the other hand, many people like to skip footpath and walks in opposite direction and walks on the roads, and this makes moving of vehicles on the roads , even in low width roads and that too occupied by pedestrians and this makes moving of vehicles difficult.

Even in sands of sea you can find that most of spaces are preoccupied with shop keepers and for this people tend to stand with foods by shopping from the sea side. This makes footpaths resting place for those food lovers. This makes entire footpath crowded with  food lovers and people crowded with those footpaths makes them not walkable.

Then on the side of roads auto rickshaws deliberately stand these on the side and thus curtailing the roads further. This makes moving in and around the roads becomes difficult. So strict regulations needs to be taken so that proper use of these footpaths can be use for betterment of traffics. When we move into further deeper towards VIP roads towards Bhubaneswar, entire street vendors has been removed from those places and for this entire VIP road has been full of people, moving with equal ease.  Most of times, in the morning and evening people will go through walking and they use footpaths in and around those areas.

Now, they are free from traffic as they easily move through these roads in footpaths and those are well barricades and walking through these roads becomes easier. For this it is essential that people need to walk through these footpaths and their journey should not be uninterrupted by street vendors.
