Prior to Odisha Assembly election, which occurs at the same time that of General election, there is growing discontentment among residents of Puri town as they see the rise of criminals and they are acting freely and in each day passing there are more and more murders and loots. Everywhere there is a sense of fear as daily we could hear news about murder, gang fighting and others. It becomes extremely difficult for general public to go outside after 8 pm without any fear is a complete rarity.
It seems that goons are everywhere and even a person who goes out in the evening there is still the sense of fear among families till the time he reached at home. I am talking about the time before 2019 assembly elections. Prior to this in some car festivals we have seen complete chaos in and around Puri areas. So much of unwanted controversies in and around that times and this is completely directed towards Brahmin servitors of Puri town and that makes discontentment within Brahmin servitors as it seems that most of controversies are directed towards make them offended and in some time it seems correct also.
It seems at some time there is impression that whole people of Oidsha are against Brahmin servitors of Lord Jagannath and it comes upfront due to media activism and constant discussions within these circles. I am from Brahmin servitor family and I found that even people who are nearby ours locality tend to talk about us while we pass in those areas and while listening to them which most of them come from outside of Puri and they show the audacity to behave us though we keep our calmness within ourselves.
It seems that society is now divided and most of people tend to talk negative about us and even while going for marketing we feel that people also talking negative about us and it seems that the sense of discontentment are on the rise. What it seems that the flow of incidents which comes upfront seems to be all of these are failure of administrations to tackle it and that makes the realisation of all of these a complete chaos among the all forms of administrations during those times.
Apart from incidents which has been reported due to ill behaviour of one or two servitors the entire communities were blamed and showed in bad colors and that makes the situation more dangerous and in addition to it media shows all of these information in bad colors and the continuous negative discussions all over media day in day out makes the sentiments flowing continuously. Due to negative discussions within media circle and most of times it feels one sided as there is very small representatives among servitors and most of them are not media friendly and that makes the matter bad to worse.
In addition to this it seems that these controversies are knowingly created in order to distract attention from bad law and order situation which is growing negatively among masses of in and around Puri town citizens. In media due to these informations the important informations which should have been predominantly the law and order situations in Puri town is diverted. Even after assembly election is over before the result is out there is the advent of Fani cyclone, the situation is extremely difficult for residents of Puri town as there is no electricity, no water and nothing essential is there and entire area is full of destructions as trees removed from the roads, roads are not accessible, and even many houses are broken and boundaries are removed due to extreme cyclone and this makes situation extremely grave and dangerous.
As the counting is still to be held and the results are not out in the open still the process of conversations among people is that this time the seat will be changed perhaps this time Puri could see the change or political system and after change the situation in and around Puri town improves considerably. There is of course complete stoppages of gang war, and their infighting. Slowly Puri as known for many years as peaceful time comes back again to this and people are now feeling safe and even they are walking and moving in and around Puri even at 10 pm in the night.
It goes on to show how the situation becomes completely changed and now Puri becomes one of the most peaceful towns of Odisha and it has to be done as there are many forms and factors of floating populations reaching here from across the world, especially when there were the news about bad to worse situations earlier visitors which are known as floating populations tend to feel the fear of coming here with family and now the situation is changing consistently and people are returning to Puri again and that is a positive sight and news to for people who are engage in business and their business is totally dependent upon tourists.
