This article was written on July 19, 2012 in my blog. Last year due to massive tsunami and earthquake the building containing pool and reactor were destroyed through the failure of cooling systems through an explosion and the cores of three reactors melted subsequently. The fuel in the cores of reactors is sealed through thick containment vessels.
With the help of giant crane two fuel rods removed from Fukushima nuclear plant. This process is very delicate and long. This has been done to ensure more safety to the plant. This can reduce the risk of radiation which has been infamous for recent disasters. The task is to put all of one thousand five hundred and thirty five rods in reactor number four to be pulled eventually and to be kept in a safer place far away from humans.

The time could take to remove all the rods can be at the end of the next year and for this great human capacity and also extreme care needs to be taken into. Last year due to massive tsunami and earthquake the building containing pool and reactor were destroyed through the failure of cooling systems through an explosion and the cores of three reactors melted subsequently.
At that time there were widespread fear and apprehension about large scale leakages of radioactivity that was stored in the pool, which are not protected and sealed through thick containment vessels. The fuel in the cores of reactors is sealed through thick containment vessels. Then the decision was taken to remove all the rods that have the prominence of radioactivity in the future to safeguard the interests of the people.
The company which is undergoing this process will see the amount of state of deterioration in metals caused by oxidation or chemical action in the rods and what percentages they are deteriorated through chemical process and sea water as during the tsunami the water is being used to cool the temperature of reactor down. These steps are being taken to safeguard for nuclear security reasons.
