In this article,will be mostly concentrate on the image variances or image parameters. The basic ingredient of image parameters are hue,saturation,contrast,color space and tone.Most vernacular use of image parameters are sepia and black and white.As per my observations don not take the image directly of sepia or black and white instead shoot it in RAW file mode and then tweak after in the labs.
There are very good digital cameras,out of it Nikon D300 and the Nikon D400 allows tweaking of image parameters or image variances with its predetermined functions or customised individual tweaking.The Konika Minolta A2 has classified or group of functions which gives liberty to users to tweak the same image to different parameters anther wonderful tweaking for the enthusiast users.But The Canon EOS 30D allows a classified or a group of functions for tone and saturations selections unlike Konika Minolta A2 which gives all the functions.Canon cameras such as the PowerShot SD850 gives more options on skin tones to the user by having options for darker or lighter skin tones.
Color Space:
Computers maps the colors of the image through the number and it is called color space,It has two variants one is additive such as RGB and the second one is subtractive color spaces like CMYK.Subtractive color spaces used mainly for printing work. Additive color space of RGB model include HSL
(Hue,Saturation,Lightness) and HSV(Hue.Saturation,Value)
Hue:
Shifts all colors to certain specified degrees and Nikon,Pentax,Canon and Konika cameras have hue functionality during the photo shoot otherwise if yours cameras does not have this function then it can be done through image editing soft wares like Adobe Photoshop or any other good image editing soft wares.
Contrast:
Increased and having striking color and having the clarity and freshness of immediate experience in terms of colors in relation to brightness.The greater the contrast the greater the the image standing out from others in the background.
Sharpness:
Related to the edges of the screens and if it has been shown in clarity then the sharpness of the picture is on the rise means which image shows the grainier image then it has high sharpness be sure of it.When you take the image close up then try to take it on good sharpness so that image can be Para mounted well.
Tone:
Shows the psychological state of the image the temper or the climate of the picture.A warm tone a masculine tone having predominantly the orange,yellow or red color.On the other hand the cooler tone with soft color and can be called more feminine.
Black and White:

Sepia:
It is the tone for older photographs in the old era in the printing of black and whiten photographs some chemical substance added to it so that images will be more retentive. In the modern digital cameras, this is an add-on feature but taking pictures in this tone will show you as unskilled amateurish now a days.
Saturation:
This is the chromatic level of a particular color or in similar terms the strength of color as if this is zero then it will be a greyscale image.The increase of saturation of image can enhance and augment the spirit of the picture and can spurt the aliveness of the picture.Also in modern cameras and dSLR cameras and lenses saturation can be enhanced by adding filters which in simplier term An electrical device that alters the frequency spectrum of signals passing through it through the lenses like green , red and blue.Some digital cameras offering the custom color control , to name a few are Nikon Coolpix P50 and the Canon
