Create Hotel Reservation management system with Wix Powered website

This article relates to Wix powered website. If you are constructing a Wix powered website for hotel then you are at a right place to learn more about it. Before reading I would hope that you have following works completed for website.

Login to yours Wix account and then on its dashboard, From its left hand side go to

Apps >>App Market

Search for Wix Hotel beta app and install it. The installation of Wix apps inside its website takes some time and during installation process do not stop it abruptly.

After installation of Wix Hotel beta apps, go to left hand side and go to

Hotel>> Property set up Then click on overview. Here you will have to set up hotel, It consists of three processes.

  • Complete your business information.
  • Add a room type
  • Check your rates and availability

Then there are some more steps to go for finish setting up property:

  • General settings set up
  • Create cancellation policy
  • Create an extra
  • Add new rate plan
  • Define tax categories
  • Create coupon codes
  • Add photos to your property
  • Set your property facilities
  • Connect your property to online channels
  • Translate your content

All of these are self-explained and you should go one by one and fill the appropriate information and do take care to provide correct information as there is high chance of Google crawling these information about yours website.

Property Settings:

Here, you will provide following information about your hotel. Followings information needs to be clearly mentioned so that it will be available with Google when persons search for website in search engines.  Following information need to be properly filled and to the correct in general.

  • Property info : Manage your payment methods, contact information and more.
  • General settings : Manage your property’s open seasons, pricing, child policy, and more.
  • Cancellation and deposit policies :Manage your property’s cancellation and deposit policies.
  • Property facilities: Choose the facilities and services your property offers, like pool access or a business center.
  • Room amenities: Choose the amenities your rooms offer, like a jacuzzi tub or flat screen TV.
  • Photos : Add and update photos for your property and rooms.
  • Reservation settings
  • Customize how guests find and reserve rooms at your property.

You should go to each and every segment of above metioned  property settings and filled up the form one by one and with due care.

Room types:

Now we reach an important topic that is all about room types. Here, create and edit room types, choose room amenities, add photos and more. Here at the right hand side at upper corner click on create room types and here you will be presented with some options as that of below.

  • General info : Enter your room’s display name, capacity, description and more. Here you will have sub segment such as kind of room, display name, selling period, revenue account, adult capacity, total capacity, total capacity, code.
  • Room details : Choose number of beds, room identifiers, and more
  • Room amenities : Choose the amenities this room offers.
  • Photos : Upload photos to showcase your room’s best features.

Rate Plans: Create and edit rate plans and assign room types to them

  • Let guests pick their perfect stay : Create new rate plans to offer options like full board or free cancellation with a room and help guests book just what they need. Here, you provide opportunities to customers to create their own rate plans by adding extras or removing extras.
  • Master rate: Room only—In this segment  and its sub segment is name of plan, meal plan, cancellation policy, date settings where you can provide it to all year around, select date range and you can even link to another rate plan.

Extras: Increase guest satisfaction by offering services guests can purchase along with their rooms. Here you can provide option for customers to add extras apart from master room rate.

  • Extra Bed
  • Default category: It is the category for the extras without specific category attendance. Your users will see visible extras on your site under this category as well.

Tax categories: Create as many tax categories as you want and manage how your business collects tax. Here, from the upper right hand side click on Add tax category and when you click on it  you will have following categories.

  • Tax category name
  • Discount type
  • Fixed Type
  • Adjusted based on a fixed amount
  • Revenue account
  • Tax by time period
  • Tax by unit

Here, Tax list you will have following categories.

  • Name
  • Rate/Amount
  • Type

Next you will have markets, in order to identify the markets you get reservations from, decide which rate types to offer and more. Here, in the market list you can chose all countries if you want reservations  all over the world then make the market list as all countries.  In the add market segment you have following sub-segment.

  • Market name
  • Currency
  • Countries
  • Rate Plans

Apart from all of these you will have other segments  such as sales department, revenue accounts, promotion codes and languages.

Promotion Codes: Create as many coupons as you want, set restrictions and offer exclusive prices to your guests. Click on add coupon and here you will be presented with following sub segments.

  • Name
  • Coupon code
  • Discount amount
  • Usage Limit
  • Revenue accountsReservation start/end dates
  • Stay start/enf dates
  • Activate coupon
