Gmail from Google is the most popular email service. Most people have more than one Gmail account. Recently, Google updated Gmail interface for the desktop. You can log in from the web browser, Android or other mobile operating systems.
Sign to Gmail:
- On your computer connect to the internet. Open your favourite web browser.
- Go to gmail[.]com.
- Enter your Google’s account credentials.
- Provide username and password.
- If you logged in with Google’s Chrome web browser then most probably it will log in automatically.
How to securely sign in on a device that is not yours:
- It is important to sign out from the public computer.
- Do not allow Chrome to save passwords automatically.
- If you use the public computer or some one’s android or any other mobile operating system, then it is important to log out from such devices.
- It is important to browse the chrome private web browser.
- On the computer, open Google Chrome.
- At the right click the button with the name of people.
- Click on it and then click on Guest.
- Google search and log in with your email account.
- After your browsing session ends, log out your Google credentials.
- Then, right click on Guest and then exit Guest.
- While browsing with the guest mode in Chrome browser, searches you do visit, and other internet activities you have done will not be saved to the web browser’s history.
- Normally, cookies are deleted after you exit from Guest mode.
- It is important to clear browser’s cache and cookies and delete web browsing history after browsing session completed.
Sign in to Gmail using Android device:
- Install the Gmail App on your Android device.
- You can add more than one Gmail account into your Gmail app.
- It is important to update the Gmail app to its latest version from the Google Play Store.
- Open the Gmail app on your Android device.
- In the top left, tap Menu.
- Tap the down arrow and then add account.
- Then choose which type of account you want to add.
- You can also add email account from other email services.

- If you are too busy to reply email, then you can provide the smart reply to emails.
- You can use smart phrases for this. IN the top right of Gmail go to SETTINGS.
- In the DEFAULT REPLY BEHAVIOUR section, select REPLY ALL.
- In this way, you provide the smart reply to emails.
- In this way, you can use the suggested replies and follow-up in your emails.
Your inbox view:
- Go to SETTINGS of Gmail in the top right and then go to DISPLAY DENSITY.
- From here you can customise the view of your Gmail inbox.
- You can expand and shrink the view of Gmail inbox.
- In addition to it straight from Gmail you can access calendar, tasks, keep and add-ons.
- In addition to this, these apps can synchronise all of these apps from Gmail of the desktop to the Android apps within Android apps.
Send emails and attachments confidentially:
- You can send and receive confidential messages and attachments confidentially,
- In the confidential mode, to protect sensitive pieces of information.
- You can put expiration date to emails.
- You can provide the passcode to email to open with another passcode of the sender.
- Click COMPOSE then in the bottom right of the window, click Turn on CONFIDENTIAL MODE which is with the locked sign.

- Recipient of email can put forward passcode to open the email.
