While back up Codeguard uses stronger cryptographic mechanisms, with RSA public key cryptography which encrypt the entire database while sending to the server and when for reinstallation it also secures the entire route. Even at some point of time for sending and receiving the database and one able to see it which is the remotest possibility but still no one could be able to see and understand it due to strong cryptographic protocols. Even if your website does not use SSL certificate still all the informations send and receive with Codeguard back ups are done with a high degree of cryptography potentials.

Add your website:
Now, we shall discuss about, how to back up a Bigrock website and its cPanel database with codeguard. Now login to bigrock login panel and then from various services choose codeguard. I shall anticipate that you have purchased codegaurd and it is now activated inside bigrock dashboard. Click on it and then is should present you the page which says that “Add your website”. It is the first process to connect WordPress website with codegaurd database. In order to completely add WordPress website with codeguard one need to add website first and then after successfully adding to website then you have to add the database in order to complete successful completion of website.
In the enter URL field adds your website. For me, it should be http://mohanmekap.com not http://www.mohanmekap.com . Then jump over to next field which says that “Enter Credentials” Here, yours server credentials are to be used to back up yours website. First is “SFTP/FTP server name or IP address”. Here, you add ftp.domainname.com Here I presume that for my website http://mohanmekap .com the domain name is mohanmekap.com and from this hint you should know yours domain name and add to it. In the next field it asks about FTP user name and FTP password. It should have been given to you while purchasing domain and host and must be mailed to you, so check yours mail or contact customer service about it to know about it and then filled those values into it. Then at last in the check box does not choose FTP but choose SFTP and then click on test your website to connect it with Codeguard.
All these settings are intended, to back up website and after successfully testing the connection of website connect in the next step it should check for some internet protocols which should connect with databases and these checking should be checked automatically and after some time if there are two green rights on the side of those two internet protocol ids then it is now clear that yours website or wordpress website is now directly connected to codeguard database. Then you should be redirected to main dashboard of codeguard. Here, there should be dialogue of incomplete set up of website as with most of WordPress website, one need to back up database simultaneously in order to present a complete WordPress powered website back up.
Unlike backing of website, where databases are automatically backed up but with WordPress website database back up is to be connected individually with codeguard for complete website back up service. Now click on add database, and at the first instance it should ask you about, “database host name” here you should add name of your domain without http. In my case it is mohanmekap.com not http://mohanmekap.com
Now, in the next field, it should ask you about my SQL database name and database password and you should put both into it. Then, it should ask you about. My SQl port and it should be 3306 and it is automatically selected and you should not have to alter this and then in the subsequent process connect to database. Now, the million dollar question is how to find My SQL user name and My SQL password. If you did not have then followed these steps.
How to find My SQL user name and My SQL password:
Reach to cPanel hosting. I assume you have done softaculous installation. Reach to “software and service” and from there select softaculous and then click on it and wait for a few seconds according to speed of your internet and then you should reach to softaculous installation. Scroll downward to reach the current wordpress installation. Then from the option menu click the pencil icon and then you should reach to the page which shows in detail about WordPress installation. Scroll to the button of this page to reach to the heading of “Info” and here you should find information about software, installation number, wordpress version, installation time, path of wordpress installation, url of website, administration url to reach to front end of wordpress dashboard, then scroll upward and from installation details you should found information about database user and database password, record both and then put it into database connect of codeguard.
After adding database host name and if it should open the next page for check for firewalls and in this process it automatically selsect the testing of CodeGuard server’s ability to connect to your database from its internet protocol address and if it connects successfully then it should provide you with two tick marks which means connection is successful and then move to the next step. Here it should provide you with the number of whitelist internet protocol addresses and one should white list of your hosting and the process is described below.
Remote database access hosts:
Subsequently, it should provide you with five ip addresses of CodeGuard. These ip addresses need to be white listed by your hosting in order to complete the process of integration of WordPress database into CodeGuard. In order to do this, login to Bigrock administration panel.
Select single domain Linux hosting in case, you are in WordPress. Then click on manage webhosting. A new pop up window should open and now you are into cPanel hosting.
Then reach for database and then to “Remote My SQL”. Click on it and you should land on remote database access hosts.
Earlier note down the number of whitelisted internet protocol ids of CodeGuard just after database connection and then add every whitelisted internet protocol to “add an access host” and then click on add host to whitelisted mostly five interent protocol ids so that all these internet protocol ids to be whitelisted by host.
Remote database access hosts allow external web servers to access to your MYSQL databases, and add their domain names to the list of hosts that are able to access databases on your website.
Add new database:
In the next step add new database and select it from the number of database.
If you have one database then it should show and select the square box of it and then add database to complete database connection and in the dashboard you could find and watch the progress of website back up as well as data base back up.
Now, yours WordPress website is completely connected. Its database is connected as well as codegaurd internet protocols ids are now whitelisted so that automatically and scheduled back up of yours website can be done periodically without any disturbances. In the case if you did not wish to have manual connection of codeguard with that of wordpress website then you can opt for automatic wordpress connection in the form of code guard plugin installation in the front end of wordpress dashboard.
CodeGuard plugin in your WordPress dashboard: (Second method)
While adding website it should show you option if you have wordpress website then add through plugins. I prefer to use the above method but users can opt it for it. Click on it, next you should reach to the page which says that download the codegaurd plugin and then install it on wordpress dashboard. Then reach to codeguard from hosting and then click next. Remember to install the code guard plugins within wordpress dashboard and then return to hosting and then click on next to find, yours unique access key and copy this unique access key and then go to the CodeGuard plugin in your WordPress dashboard and paste the key into the unique access key box to finish activating plugin. Then save that unique access key on CodeGuard plugin inside WordPress dashboard and return to CodeGuard of hosting side.
Now, click on the “Test access key” and then yours CodeGuard installation through code guard plugins into WordPress site is complete. From WordPress Dashboard click on codeguard plugin and click on back up to beginning WordPress back, up. This back up should take some time as in this second process of backing up through CodeGuard, as this setting does automatically, at the first instance it does take some time to locate the database and slowly these process continues. There are some disadvantages of using this second method of CodeGuard back up activation through its plugin. First and foremost plugins do tend to make website heavier as this is a bulky plugins and this means that yours site is now heavier and for this it is the first and foremost aims of yours should be to make yours site faster and easier accessible through any means.
If you go with first and manual installation methods which I described in earlier than, it should not need any plugin for installation and this should make yours most preferable installation of CodeGuard. It should also activate instantly without further wait and this means that from the first day itself your websit is now connected and backing so starts. Generally, with plugins part one could see and find that the activation takes some time and then whenever website backed up automatically, it automatically authenticates server credentials through plugins and this means that it is more pressure on yours hosting and if this back up time coincides with high traffic time then most possibly yours website could face down time which is not at all good for yours website reputations, garnering of visitors as well as increase of website revenues.
If yours website becomes down and continues to provide more and more down time then one should know that, these processes of down time to make the running of website and its corresponding reputation at risk. It is important to make the manual connection as far as I am concerned try hard to provide most of informations possible so as to let you understand of it and connect it and still there are easier option such as the second option but most web masters should prefer the first option always for it. In short, in order to connect WordPress database with CodeGuard you should need database hostname, database name, MySQL username and password and MySQL port number and all these are described in the first method. On the following page, after putting all these database credential you should be shown with the presence of database inside of WordPress installation and select that database to start backing up the process and save the setting. It is easy as we know out of all website methods, the creating of WordPress is easy and for this most users as well I do prefer for it and continue to do so in order to have seamless information management so as to connect any such add-ons from server side.
