International climate change study at Chilka Lake

Few days back a group of eminent scientists from all over the world were invited to perform deep scientific study on the Chilka lake of Odisha, the eastern state of India. Their primary aim is to perform deeper understanding on climatic change research about Chilka Lake and what are the pros and cons of effects that had been impacted on Chilka Lake as the course of climate and impact on its behavioral aspects continue to find more and more deeper and wider research studies on it. Twenty scientists from all over the world regarding this climate change experts reached here to study the impacts of it and its nearby dependable environments.

Of late it had been noticed for a lesser number of migratory birds reached out to the different banks of Chilka Lake. They reached out from different continents and their presence was slowly on the downside. Over twenty eminent scientists in this field conglomerate, nearby Chilka lake to have the deeper and wider and practically exhaustive study over this subject. They continue to study these differential behaviour of Chilka Lake the wetland of Asia and try to find out what could have been the most possible causes of this and try to reach towards the most valuable and most preferential conclusion about this.

The time span of this research should be about three years and they should be extensively studied about this and mostly on three points that deal over in these phenomenons. The first point of interaction and study should be what should happen to Chilka Lake in the case the level of the sea would be on the rise. The Chilka Lake is the back-water lake from the sea and if the level of the sea should be on the rise then what should happen to the existence of Chilka Lake? Due to the advent of extreme global warming, we had seen the emergence of wild array of floods and famines and should Chilka Lake withstand and protect itself from such large scale of devastating form of floods or famines?

Asia’s largest brackish water lagoon is Chilka Lake. It is home to many creatures as well as the favorite breeding place for most of migratory birds that reached here from all over the world of million of kilometers of air journey. There has been many islands and many fisherman families for generations have been to much dependable over the waters of Chilka Lake and what should happen to them in terms of washing away of different islands inside this lake as well as disappearances of lake waters could possible wipe out all such fishes and marine related creatures that fisherman used to caught it and sold it for their livelihood.

These scientists get together and conglomerate at Wetland Research and Training Centre (WRTC) at Badakul near Balugaon of Chilka, Odisha and held the conference and exhaustive study to understand what should be the valuable and the positivity and negativity arising out of these effects over Chilka Lake. Plenty of financial assistance for this research and the way the meaningful conclusion should be reached at it. It believes that Chilka Lake has over three hundred different species of fishes and 200 varieties of unique birds are living inside of it. Health of these marine species as well as their existential presence should be looked into in greater detail. Each year, during the times from December to March over 10,000 species of migratory birds reached here and the entire area during these times were full of these migratory birds and the place continue to be seen in the light of wonderful presence of life all over it.

These migratory birds are reached here from distant places such as from Canada, Siberia, Latin America and they used to cross these vast lands and they reach in this location absolute time and accuracy. These migratory birds stayed in the Chilka environment for up to four months and then they retire to their original homeland. These birds do it again and again every year and their route to reach here is exactly same and it is almost impossible to understand how they remember such long distance passages over air. This project was well supported and backed by International development research of Canada and it continues to provide awesome test results and hopefully the final conclusion driven out from these researches should provide the more practical aspect of understanding of what should be the real picture behind this climatic change impressions over Chilka Lake.

The conclusions over this project can be used in other experiments and can be treated as the the one school fo thoughts as well a could be implicated on similar situations over these lake environment to understand what should be the real reason behind this and how to do away with such and such differential penances in order to have the most peaceful environment for marine life out there. Due to uniqueness of  the Chilka Lake in terms of its presence of bio-diversity in a which could easily be coincided with the case studies of other lakes where most of popular ingredients for the presence of complete lake such as Chilka should be out here.

It is surprising but true that Cilka should be the only lake in India as well as in the world to have its own database of informations. This should provide stipulated statistical presentations of comparisons while permutations and combinations regarding presence of such large scale of stipulated ambiance lake system. All these statistical data were related to maintenance and eco-system of Chilka Lake and presence of continuity in terms of careful representation of safeguarding peaceful environment out there. It is surprising but true that the database of Chilka Lake was available from the beginning of 600 B.C. during the powerful emperor of Odisha, Kharbella, who has depicted a detailed and performance oriented study about this lake and it continues to provide the base ground for complete and continuous study of this lake.

The Chilka Lake is the only lake or any other eco surroundings system where over 3000 years of complete and continuos data bases are available for study and this helps scientists to have more deeper and understanding perspectives to understand what are the implications of climatic changes from there until now. This goes on to showcase this study should be one of the major climatic study and this should enlighten on similar matters all over the world on this matter. Fifty two rivers and rivulets fall inside Chilka Lake and make it one of the most vibrant and differential presentation of marine life as well as the presence of large number of sweet water as well as saline water coming out from the Bay of Bengal. From time to time man made blockages of sides of Chilka Lake at the sea side give it way to have the more and more sweeter water and the presence of marine lives are mostly the most demanding part and most of it went for exports but still the survival of this lake is important and this study emphasizes more to this in reader to have more complete out look about this lake.
